Chapel Down LogoThe Wine Sanctuary at Chapel Down Winery

Products: Grand Slider II sliding doors, fixed frame glazing, glass-to-glass corner windows.

The Wine Sanctuary, the new tasting room at the winery of England’s leading wine producer Chapel Down, features a large set of Grand Slider II sliding doors with stunning panoramic views over the Kent vineyards.

The converted barn, designed by Guy Hollaway Architects and built by Coleman & Peters, sits at the heart of Chapel Down's operations and to fully connect the Wine Sanctuary to the vineyard the key to the design was to maximise the year-round views over the rolling Kent countryside. To achieve this the finished project incorporates full height fixed frame glazing alongside Grand Slider II sliding doors.

The combination of large glass panes and frameless corners seamlessly connect the inside of the barn to the terrace and the vineyards beyond, whilst perfectly framing the natural beauty of the surroundings.

At the heart of the interior of the tasting room is a large central wine-tasting table that stretches the length of the space providing seating for up to fifty people, whilst the signature feature of the room is a stunning bar with the words 'Great Minds Drink Alike' embossed into the fascia of the copper top.
