Mews House | an award-winning South East London new build home
Products: Grand Slider II sliding doors, glass balustrades, fixed frame windows
This striking new-build home was designed by Suzanne Brewer Architects and sits in the heart of the Blackheath conservation area in South East London. The two storey structure features a large set of Grand Slider II sliding doors at ground floor level that seamlessly connect the living space with its garden.
Constructed on the site of a former mews, the pavilion style property features and innovative design with a completely open plan living space on the ground floor of the main structure which features the 5-panel, 11m wide set of sliding doors on an OXXXO configuration.
At first floor level, hidden behind the external timber Venetian blind are further sets of sliding doors in each bedroom that overlook the courtyard garden, whilst the flat roof of the main block features frameless rooflights to fill the hall and stairwell full of light.
The ground floor wing of the house, set at right angles to the main structure, contains two more sets of Grand Slider II sliding doors, each one a single panel set that slides into a pocket. This side of the property provides a guest-room and playroom
The incredibly design earned architectural and industry award recognition, including reaching the RIBA London, New London Architecture and RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) awards for residential property design.
